Luna is designed to help children practise reading, vocabulary, comprehension, and related 11+ English skills. Because Luna involves children’s learning information, we take privacy seriously.

  • parents or legal guardians who create and manage Luna accounts;

  • children who use Luna with permission from a parent or guardian;

  • tutors or other adults who contact us about Luna.

Parent accounts must be created and managed by an adult. Children should use Luna only with permission from their parent or guardian.

We collect only the information needed to provide Luna, manage accounts, support subscriptions, personalise learning, and improve the service.

Parent or guardian information

We may collect parent account information, such as your email address, account details, subscription status, preferences, and any messages you send us.

If you create a parent PIN, we store it in protected hashed form. We do not store the actual PIN in plain text.

 

Child profile information

We may collect information needed to create and manage child profiles, such as a child’s nickname, age band, exam type, exam year or season, learning level, selected topics, and selected genres.

We recommend using a nickname or first name only, not a full legal name.

 

Learning and progress information

We may collect information about how a child uses Luna, including stories read, quizzes completed, answers given, scores, words practised, words mastered, comprehension skills practised, learning rewards, streaks, and progress over time.

This helps Luna show progress to parents and personalise future practice.

Story, quiz, and review activity

Luna may store generated learning sessions, such as stories, comprehension passages, quiz questions, answers, review sessions, vocabulary practice, scores, and feedback.

Children do not write open-ended prompts to generate stories or quizzes. Luna generates learning content using controlled app settings, parent-selected learning goals, limited child-selected options, and learning progress data.

Usage and technical information

We may collect basic technical and usage information, such as pages visited, features used, device and browser information, login and security information, error logs, cookies, and analytics data.

 

Payment information

Payments may be processed by Wix and/or third-party payment providers.

We do not directly store your full payment card details. Payment providers may process payment details, billing information, and transaction records.

 

4. How we use information

We use personal information to provide, manage, protect, and improve Luna.

This includes using information to:

  • create and manage parent accounts and child profiles;

  • provide stories, quizzes, vocabulary review, progress tracking, and learning rewards;

  • personalise learning content, difficulty, and review activities;

  • show parents how their child is progressing;

  • manage subscriptions, free trials, billing, and access to paid features;

  • send service messages, reminders, or summaries where enabled;

  • provide customer support;

  • improve Luna’s content, safety, reliability, and user experience;

5. Children’s information

Luna is designed for children’s learning, but accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian.

We aim to collect only the information needed to provide Luna and improve the learning experience.

Children do not need to enter private personal details into Luna. They interact mainly by reading content, answering questions, completing quizzes, and choosing from limited options provided by Luna.

Children are never asked to enter sensitive personal information into Luna, such as home address, school address, phone number, medical information, private family information, or other details they would not want shared.

Parents can contact us to ask about their child’s information, correct it, or request deletion where applicable.

 

6. AI-generated learning content

Some Luna content may be generated or supported by artificial intelligence.

Luna may use limited information such as age band, difficulty tier, exam type, selected topics, selected genres, vocabulary progress, comprehension performance, and quiz results to generate or adapt learning content.

Children do not write open-ended AI prompts. Story and quiz content is generated by Luna using controlled app settings and limited child or parent selections.

AI-generated content may sometimes be incomplete, inaccurate, repetitive, or unsuitable for a particular child. Parents should contact us if they notice anything concerning.

 

7. Our lawful reasons for using information

Depending on the situation, we may use personal information because:

  • it is needed to provide the Luna service you asked for;

  • it is needed to manage your account or subscription;

  • we have a legitimate interest in running, improving, and protecting Luna;

  • you have given consent, for example for certain cookies or marketing;

  • we need to comply with a legal obligation.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw consent where applicable.

No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Parents should keep login details and PINs private.
